Roz is TV host for Westminster University

TV News London’s Managing Director, Roz Morris recently presented a TV current affairs programme for Westminster University.  The programme called ‘The Brief’ was about the role of bishops in the House of Lords and was produced and directed by first year undergraduate Film Production students at Westminster University.

Roz hosted the programme and interviewed Alistair Litchen from the National Secular Society, which disagrees with Church of England bishops sitting in the House of Lords as religious representatives.

The Society claims that retaining the bench of bishops is an affront to democracy and increasingly irrelevant when only a small minority of the  British population now attend Anglican church services.  They also oppose extending religious representation to other religions by selection on religious grounds.

The programme was recorded at Westminster University’s studios at its Northwick Park Campus in North West London.

“It was very interesting to see how well the students did in researching, producing and directing a multi camera current affairs programme to a high professional standard”,  says Roz.  “I really enjoyed working with them all and I wish them every success in their future careers whether in TV or in film production.”

The lecturer in charge of the programme was Freelance TV director and Visiting Lecturer at Westminster University, Nick Parry, who invited Roz to present the programme.
