ROZ MORRIS

Broadcaster, Media Trainer & Managing Director of TV News London

Roz has many years’ experience as a broadcaster and media trainer.  She co-founded TV News London and was an accredited trainer for the Independent Television Association.  She works with a wide range of clients in both the public and private sectors as well as many charities and non- profit organisations. She has media trained many local and national politicians, including at cabinet level. She has been a news reporter, and programme presenter for BBC TV and radio, ITN, Thames TV, and Tyne Tees TV, where she was the first woman in the North East of England to be the regular presenter of the weekly political and business programme. She also worked as a TV and radio correspondent for BBC Scotland, based in Edinburgh, and for RTE as a London Correspondent. She was a feature writer for the Evening Standard, a columnist for The Northern Echo, and a staff reporter and feature writer for The Observer and The Guardian, where she was the youngest reporter on both papers. She has been interviewed on BBC TV, BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service Radio, and Channel 4, and most recently on Paramount+, Talk TV, ITV This Morning and Apple TV +.

Malcolm has had a distinguished career as a top TV news and current affairs producer. He was previously Senior Editor and Producer at ITV’s breakfast show Good Morning Britain. He is the former Deputy Editor and Head of News at ITV Breakfast (GMTV). He is a director and co-founder of TV News London Ltd, and a broadcast news consultant, advising major companies, global charities, and PR organisations how to achieve the best coverage in print and on television and radio around the world, and how best to respond to the media in times of crisis. Malcolm started his career in journalism working with national and regional newspapers before moving into TV news. With his many years’ experience of dealing with global news and running national and regional TV newsrooms including GMTV, TV-am, Thames News and Tyne Tees TV, and working as a Senior Producer for ITV ‘This Morning’, Malcolm’s broadcasting expertise is unusually broad, covering news, politics, business, consumer, tech, lifestyle and showbiz.

Roddy is an expert media trainer with more than 15 years’ experience of working with top corporates, enabling senior spokespeople to handle TV and video interviews to the highest professional standards.  He has worked with Trinity Management Communications and for 10 years was Editor in Chief of Cantos, the online news service for business leaders, both part of Brunswick Group.  He was a senior TV news producer for 10 years working with ITN, and with breakfast TV stations TVam and GMTV.  His book, ‘No Breaks: A Lost Season in British Speedway’ was published in 2021.

Award Winning Senior Reporter, Broadcaster and Media Trainer

Glen has more than 25 years experience as a senior reporter and correspondent for major news organisations. He was a Political Correspondent for Sky News where he covered 4 general elections.  Before that he worked for ITN where he worked in nearly 40 countries, including extended stints in Washington, Moscow and the Middle East, and two years in Glasgow as ITN Scotland Correspondent.  He won Royal Television Society awards for his reports on the fall of the Berlin Wall, The plight of the Kurds in the wake of the First Gulf War, and the Dunblane school shooting. He was BAFTA-nominated for London Poll Tax riot coverage.  He started his career in journalism as a reporter/newsreader/presenter in local radio in Newcastle upon Tyne and at IRN/Capital Radio in London. 

He has extensive media training experience working with many blue chip companies, NGOs and other organisations including The British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, and NATO. For many years, before the Covid pandemic, Glen was a visiting professor of communications at INSEAD, the world’s premier business school.

A broadcaster for more than 20 years, Kati is a regular on BBC Radio 4. In recent years she has reported for Radio 4 programmes such as The World Tonight from South Sudan, Mali, Liberia, Kosovo and Ethiopia. Recent programmes include documentaries about the future of the Euro, McCarthyism and the spiritual challenges of mental health and alzheimers. She has won numerous awards including a Sony shortlist and One World Radio Award for her documentary on Rwandan widows. She was formerly a TV reporter for BBC Breakfast, Channel Four News and The Medical Channel, and she won the Silver Award for her work as presenter of BBC Radio 4’s disabilities programme, ‘Does He Take Sugar?’ . She works as a freelance broadcaster and as a media and presentation trainer.

Jon presents programmes for local BBC radio stations including Three Counties Radio and he was previously presenter of the weekly Programme Sunday Jewish Radio on Spectrum Radio.  He has been a programme presenter on London’s news and talk station, LBC Radio and a newsreader/journalist for Independent Radio News and Classic FM.  He featured on Channel Four TV’s series ‘Jewish Mum of the Year’ when he interviewed the two finalists.  He has presented and produced phone-in and news magazine programmes for BBC local radio stations throughout the UK.  He was Head of Presentation for a commercial radio station in the capital, communications consultant for a major charity, and he has many years’ experience as a media trainer and as a local councillor.

Simon Brooke has over 25 years’ experience in communications training and development. As a freelance journalist and editor, he works for a wide variety of outlets on subjects including business and management, industry, health, the environment and property. Simon has worked for companies, charities and governments around the world to improve the way in which they communicate with the media.  His media, presentation and crisis communications training clients have included Visa, British Airways, RBS, Zurich Insurance, the NHS, the Stroke Association, IKEA and EDF Energy as well as various charities and professional associations.

Marina Gask is an award-winning journalist, copywriter and press consultant. She writes for glossies, broadsheets and digital platforms, focusing on health, wellbeing and entrepreneurial success, and is a former Features Publisher and Health Commissioner at the Telegraph. A former journalism tutor at Goldsmiths University, she now she helps businesses with web content, blogs, press strategy and business books. She also offers blogging and press release workshops, working with clients such as Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Save The Children and the Fabian Society’s Women’s Network Mentoring Scheme. In 2018 she co-launched Audrey Online, a digital platform for entrepreneurial midlife women.

Senior Training Consultant For TV News London - Middle East Specialist

Henry has worked for some of the UK’s biggest broadcasters at senior level. He was the Foreign Editor of the UK’s first commercial Breakfast TV programme TV-am; a key figure in the launch team of the succeeding breakfast TV programme GMTV; Managing Editor at the international news agency Reuters and Senior Manager at ITN Consulting, specialising in programme launches and media training in the Middle East. He was responsible for the launch of the first Arabic-speaking live breakfast programme on Saudi TV, Sabah Saudia – training staff and developing programme content and production for seven months in Riyadh between 2009/2010. He has created new programme formats for Saudi TV morning, evening news and magazine programmes and organised a major training course for the 24-hour Al Ekhbariya news channel. Most recently he was responsible for running training courses in London and Muscat for staff at Oman State Television.

Alison Skilbeck

Actor and Executive Presence Trainer

Alison is an actor, director, teacher, and trainer. She has an honours degree in Spanish and French from Oxford University where she first began to act, and she started her professional career by presenting a Spanish language programme on BBC Television. For well over two decades she has combined a busy and varied career in theatre, on radio, and on television with teaching and directing. She has been an Associate Teacher at RADA since the early 90s, directing on the degree course and short courses, and serving on the audition panel. She has performed Shakespeare and taught at many American and European universities while on tour for the British Council. Alison’s own one-woman shows have received great acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival, in London, and on tour throughout the UK. Television appearances include Midsomer Murders, The Beiderbecke Affair, Miss Marple, and Sherlock Holmes. She is a senior trainer in the field of personal development and communication, working with people from many different walks of life: top civil servants and diplomats, local government members and officers, social workers, teachers and students, business executives at all levels, and members of leading professional bodies and charities.

Actor and Executive Presence Trainer

Anna Ostergren is a LAMDA trained actor who successfully coaches C-Suite executives on motivation, presentation skills and confidence building. She recently worked as the acting coach for the acclaimed Netflix teenage drama series ‘Everything Now’ launched in October 2023. Her work in the corporate sector has included corporate finance, leading oil companies and Michelin star restaurants, as well as large Academic Institutions. She has also privately coached market leaders to develop their executive presence in meetings, pitches and presentations.
Her clients include BP, Pictet, ING, VISA, Menzies Accountancy firm, Cloud Pioneer, UEL, HLB International, The Diana Awards, Russell Investments, Marcus Waring at the Berkeley, The Gilbert Scott, Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck in Bray, Pearson College and Ithaca Partners, Boehringer Ingelheim, MFS and BlackRock. Anna was born in Stockholm, Sweden and educated in Rio de Janeiro and the USA until Secondary level. She was awarded her BA in English and Drama from London University. She continued her Post-Graduate training on the LAMDA Director’s course in 2005. She has since worked consistently as an actor, producer and director, in theatre, musical and opera, in both subsidised theatre and West End, including Opera North, The Globe Theatre and The Menier Chocolate factory.

Lydia runs the day to day administration of the TV News London office and provides camerawork and sound support for TV News London training courses. She studied media studies and production at the University of East London and after graduation found work as a radio presenter and trainer. Lydia also has a background in e-marketing, social media strategy and the music industry. She is a singer/songwriter and helps to promote and run music events for new artists.
